Over the last eight years our From a Mother to Another recycling initiative has potentially saved 70 tonnes of baby and children’s clothing from going to waste by facilitating the delivery of generously donated parcels to families in need in the UK and Ireland.
Nearly a third of the UK’s clothing ends up in landfill; that’s 350,000 tonnes a year and we want to do something about it!!
We will be collecting customer’s pre-loved parcels in the run up to Mother’s Day 2023, from the 20th of February to the 19th or March.
Our charity partners, as well as baby banks and refugee centres who rely on these donations to support families, have witnessed unprecedented demand for emergency clothing, so please sort through your child’s unwanted or outgrown clothing and drop off your donations at your local JoJo store.
Please follow the instructions below. We can only accept pre-sorted items which comply with these rules.
Sort through your good quality pre-loved children’s clothing, making up lovely outfits by size, sex and season up to aged 0-6 years. All brands are accepted and outfits should contain three to four items. They do not need to be full outfits, you could put a coat with hat, gloves and tights, summer shorts with a top, or a few sleepsuits with some baby socks.
Place each complete outfit in a clear bag and label with the sex (boy, girl or unisex) size (between ages 0-6) and season (Summer or Winter). This will really help our partner charities if they’re labelled correctly. Please ens ure the bag is see through and clearly labelled. You could recycle a clear garment bag from a JoJo delivery or ask for some spare bags in store.
Deliver to your nearest JoJo store between the 20th February and the 19th March. Find your nearest store and check opening times HERE. Please do not make large donations to our stores, some of them have no storage. If you have a larger group donation please arrange to deliver directly to our Warehouse in Newport.
As a thank you for taking the time to sort through your little one’s clothes to make up a gift pack for someone in need, we will give you a 15% off voucher* to redeem in store.

Our partner charities are in desperate need of older children’s clothing in size 2-6 years so anything in this size (even if not co-ordinating) would be much appreciated.
Out of sensitivity to the diverse recipients please do not include any clothing with Mummy or Daddy, camouflage/army or religious prints or references on.
